Camelopardalis is in a lovely quiet location in the middle of Marloth Park conservation area, quite close to most amenities and within walking distance of the Crocodile River.
The house is fully air-conditioned and has a large, comfortably furnished living room with a smart TV. The three bedrooms are spacious and can sleep a total of 6 people. You can request additional beds. The master bedroom ensuite has a bath, shower and toilet. The other two bedrooms share a bathroom with shower and toilet. All the bedrooms have a luxurious and modern feel.
Camelopardalis has all the mod cons and the luxury open kitchen has a cooking island, dishwasher, oven, microwave and more. The wide bifold doors open onto a covered veranda with a gorgeous 10-seater dining table and braai area. In the garden, there is a fire pit and a swimming pool (4 x 3 meters) with deck and sun loungers. There is also a watering hole where wild animals like to come and drink. This ensures unforgettable moments.
We chose the name ‘Camelopardalis’ because the holiday home is on Kameelperd Avenue. In Afrikaans, giraffe is Kameelperd and in Latin it is camelopardalis. The latter is also the name of a constellation (only visible in the northern hemisphere). Both are depicted in our logo.
Camelopardalis is the ideal home base for your South African adventure, starting with a Kruger Park safari.
As soon as your advance payment is processed, you receive a welcome letter with practical information. This letter contains, among other things, the Camelopardalis house rules and details on how to buy tokens for the air conditioners and how to turn the gas for the stove on and off. Wi-Fi is already set up.
When you first arrive in Marloth Park, you have to pick up the keys at Field Security. They are expecting you. The Field Security office is in the Bush Centre. A staff member will explain how the alarm works. On your last day, you need to hand the keys in at Field Security.
